Summertime Love (Commentary)

As the song says, it all started with a summertime love This was the first song that we ever recorded at the Amusement Park Studio in Lubbock, Texas I had met Scott Faris the summer before I moved to town And was gifted a recording session for my birthday from my good friends and my family And this— I remember graduating from college in December of 2014 And the week before graduation, I remember sitting at my coffee table having a panic attack Of how I realized that my time going to college had come to an end And how I needed to get to work, essentially, to go get a real job I didn't wanna do that So I picked up the phone and I called Scott Faris, whom I had met the summer before And told him, "I’d like to record a single, and I have this song called 'Summertime Love'" And I sent it to him, and we got to work And eventually began what would be the Come May EP And so it all started with a summertime love, as they say
