This year’s MTV EMA nominations have been unveiled, with Harry Styles and Taylor Swift leading the charge

The awards will be presented at Düsseldorf’s PSD Bank Dome on November 13th.

Nominations for the 2022 MTV EMAs have been revealed, with Harry Styles claiming the most nods and Taylor Swift following closely behind.

The annual Europe Music Awards are hosted by MTV to celebrate and honour the biggest artists and music in pop culture over the previous 12 months.

Leading the charge, Harry Styles was nominated for an impressive seven categories including Best Song and Best Video for his hit single, ‘As It Was’. The song is a cut from his third studio album, which Dork’s 5-star review described as “a venture through the everyday in all of its vivid technicolour glory.”

Taylor Swift followed closely behind with six award nods, including Best Artist and Biggest Fans – with the internet going berserk over the conclusion of her recent TikTok featurette, ‘Midnights Mayhem With Me’, this seems only fitting.

Several first-time nominees also made the list, including current Dork cover star Kim Petras, Wet Leg, Mae Muller, and Dove Cameron.

The MTV EMA 2022 will take place in Germany for the sixth time, with Düsseldorf’s PSD Bank Dome hosting the event on November 13th. Fans can now vote online for their favourite artists across nineteen different categories.
