A Little Sound teams up with S.P.Y and CMD/CTR for new single ‘Area Code’

Her recent collaborations include work with Hedex, Rudimental, and a track with Bru-C & Songer titled ‘Is What It Is’.

A Little Sound has announced her new single ‘Area Code’, a collaboration with S.P.Y and CMD/CTR, set for release on 21st February.

The track sees the drum & bass vocalist joining forces with legendary producer S.P.Y and rising duo CMD/CTR, combining her signature vocals with production designed for both club and radio play.

“S.P.Y & CMD/CTRL hit me up to see if I wanted to be a part of this wicked track. I was quick to say yes as I have been a HUGE fan of S.P.Y’s work since joining the scene and really look up to him,” A Little Sound explains. “Amber Van Day and Toby Scott had already worked on providing an instrumental/topline for the track and it was already a solid idea, but I was later able to add my touch and I think it resulted in a super special song.”

The release follows a significant period for A Little Sound, who secured the BBC Radio 1 Future Star Award in 2023 and two awards at the 2024 National D&B Awards, including Best Vocalist. Her recent collaborations include work with Hedex, Rudimental, and a track with Bru-C & Songer titled ‘Is What It Is’.

Previous releases through Ministry of Sound have included ‘Back To Back (B2B)’, ‘Escape The Lights’ with Disrupta, and ‘Situation’ featuring Sugababes, all of which received BBC Radio 1 playlist support.
