The Great Escape have confirmed that Québec duo
Angine de Poitrine will take to the stage as headliners of the festival's Opening Beach Party at The Deep End on 13th May. Montréal post-punk group
Ribbon Skirt are also on the bill as support for the evening.
The pair step into the headline slot after
The Kooks were forced to pull out of their scheduled Spotlight Show that same evening due to injury.
Access to the Opening Beach Party is included with a festival wristband, though entry remains subject to capacity. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and plan their evening through the official app.
Brighton plays host to The Great Escape from 13th to 16th May, with more than 450 artists set to perform across upwards of 35 walkable venues. The TGE conference runs alongside the music programme. Tickets are available now.
