Manchester four-piece
Arkayla have dropped the official video for
'Run Kid', their latest single. Shot entirely in black and white by director Lara Laeverenz, the clip stars Jeremiah Cheetham as a young boy racing through the streets of Manchester.
The track arrives off the back of a busy period for the band. Their EP 'DON'T LOOK FOR ANSWERS' landed at the close of 2025, and they spent the year playing a sold-out UK tour, headlining Manchester's O2 Academy, and joining Blossoms and The Royston Club on support duties.
Discussing what went into the song, the band said: "Run Kid is a proper optimistic tune, it's about ignoring all the bullshit that gets in the way of life and keeping on moving forward. It has a punkier energy to it than our other songs which is a side of our sound which we used to try and fight. With Run Kid we let go of all expectation for what we should be writing and just threw the kitchen sink at it. It's easily our favourite tune in our set at the minute."
