Melbourne surf-punks Bakers Eddy have released a new single ‘Sober’

  • Stephen Ackroyd
  • March 9, 2022

Melbourne surf-punks Bakers Eddy have released a new single ‘Sober’.

The track comes ahead of the band’s debut album ‘Love Boredom Bicycles‘, set for release on 25th March via Ivy League Records (Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Hatchie, A. Swayze & the Ghosts).

Forming as a band when they were just 12-years-old, and 12 years later all living together in the same shared house, vocalist Ciarann Babbington explains: “We’re all in the same room when we’re recording. Like when Jamie’s recording drums, we squeeze in tight around him, in this giant room we’re all in nice and tight and I’m running around Jamie, and just like causing havoc and then we make a point to yell random shit.”

“For this record music came second and bullshit came first,” jokes bassist Ian Spagnolo.

A chaotic blast of raggedy-edged indie punk, you can check out ‘Sober’ below.
