Bartees Strange has shared a new track, ‘Backseat Banton’

It’s the final preview song from his album ‘Horror’.

Bartees Strange has shared new track ‘Backseat Banton’, the final song from his album ‘Horror’.

The track, which Strange recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, takes its name from Caribbean mythology, where ‘Banton’ refers to a storyteller. It follows previously released singles ‘Wants Needs’, ‘Too Much’, ‘Sober’, and lead single ‘Lie 95’.

‘Sober’ explores themes of relationship struggles, while ‘Too Much’ serves as a self-directed love letter. ‘Backseat Banton’ completes the album’s narrative, examining the tension between passive observation and active control.

‘Horror’ is set to arrive this Friday, 14th February.
