BC Camplight releases new single addressing childhood trauma, ahead of their upcoming album exploring sobriety and personal growth.

BC Camplight has shared new single ‘Where You Taking My Baby?’, taken from their upcoming album ‘A Sober Conversation’.

The track sees Brian Christinzio confronting a childhood trauma, addressing a man named Michael about events from his past. It follows previous single ‘Two Legged Dog’, which featured Abigail Morris from The Last Dinner Party.

‘A Sober Conversation’ marks a significant shift for Christinzio, documenting his journey through sobriety and personal revelation. “Around the time of The Last Rotation… I realised I was living in this perpetual childhood, messed up all the time, trying to free myself from responsibility and all the bad thoughts I had. It led to a kind of existential crisis… I was craving meaning, thinking about having kids… I’ve been running away from stuff for a long time. You can either try and achieve milestones in life or chase a dime bag – you can’t do both. And I’ve decided not to let myself be defeated anymore,” he explains.

The album features contributions from Sidonie Hand-Halford and Adam Dawson on drums, backing vocals from Jessica Branney, and appearances from live band members Jolan Lewis and Thom Bellini.
