Creeper have confirmed their new vampire-themed album 'Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death' for October
British rock band Creeper announces Halloween release of vampire-themed sequel album alongside new single "Blood Magick (It's A Ritual)".
Creeper have announced their new album 'Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death', set for release on 31st October via Spinefarm. The band have also shared new single 'Blood Magick (It's A Ritual)'.
The album follows their previous release 'Sanguivore', which culminated in their first arena headline show at London's OVO Wembley Arena. Rather than closing the chapter entirely, the band have chosen to expand the creative universe of their previous record with this thematic sequel.
'Blood Magick (It's A Ritual)' features an '80s metal-inspired riff and showcases vocal interplay between William Von Ghould and Hannah Greenwood. The track arrives alongside a new video directed by Harry Steel, blending original footage with stock material.
"Beneath the flashing neon of a distant dream, a rock and roll nightmare is coming true. A vampire band rampages across 1980s America, leaving only corpses behind. But on the horizon, a shadow stirs. Part slasher, part satanic panic nightmare, a new force rises through the mist, ready to hunt the hunter. The Mistress Of Death is a vampire huntress on a path to end this vampire bloodline for good. But can she stake their hearts before the final curtain falls?" Von Ghould says of the album's narrative.
The album, produced by Tom Dalgety, features guitarists Ian Miles and Lawrie Pattison, incorporating elements of darkwave synths, art-rock saxophone, and layered vocal harmonies. Of the new video, Von Ghould adds, "a blood-soaked, sexed up, psychedelic vampire rock fantasy and easily one of the wildest videos we've ever made."
