Dexter In The Newsagent has unveiled her first release of 2025, ‘Special’, via RTW Records.
The South London artist’s new single, self-produced alongside Kurisu and Saionthebeat, follows her 2022 project ‘Fortune Cookie’. Where her previous six-track offering explored themes of adolescence, ‘Special’ delves into the relationship between self-worth and external validation.
“Really excited for this single release, this track encapsulated my feelings about love, youth and everything in between!” Dexter says.
The release coincides with Dexter’s upcoming appearance at Fête de la Musique in Paris, where she will perform alongside a one-day pop-up experience featuring artists including Kwes e, Mosses, Natanya, and Sahn. The event, in collaboration with Always Do What You Should Do, focuses on community, identity and creativity.
