Dua Lipa is dropping a new song, ‘Dance The Night, on Friday

It's taken from the soundtrack to the Barbie movie.

A new Dua Lipa song, ‘Dance The Night’, is set to drop this Friday (26th May).

Teased in a video on Instagram, the track is taken from the soundtrack to the new Barbie movie.

It follows up on a teaser last week from Alice Glass, previewing a cover of Aqua’s ‘Barbie Girl’ recorded for the film.

Over the weekend, Dan Smith from Bastille shared on Twitter that he’d written a couple of songs for the soundtrack to the film, but they weren’t being used.

The Barbie film, set to hit screens on July 21st, has been promoted with 20 posters showcasing its star-studded cast. This includes Dua Lipa as a mermaid Barbie, Helen Mirren as the narrator, Michael Cera as Allan, and Will Ferrell as the Mattel CEO. Other notable cast members include America Ferrera, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emma Mackey, and Nicola Coughlan.
