It turns out Alice Glass isn’t the only person who has been getting musically involved with the new Barbie film. Dan Smith from Bastille has been in on the act too.

Replying to a fan on Twitter who asked if he had any plans to see the film, Dan revealed, “In fact, I wrote a couple of songs for the Barbie film (that they didn’t use), but it looks incredible.”

Dan would make a very good Ken. We can see the poster now.

The Barbie film, set to hit screens on July 21, has been promoted with 20 posters showcasing its star-studded cast. This includes Dua Lipa as a mermaid Barbie, Helen Mirren as the narrator, Michael Cera as Allan, and Will Ferrell as the Mattel CEO. Other notable cast members include America Ferrera, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emma Mackey, and Nicola Coughlan.
