Ellie Dixon has dropped a piri remix of her new single ‘Guts’

Ellie Dixon teams up with piri for a high-energy remix of ‘Guts’, reimagining her anxiety-themed track with new production elements.

Ellie Dixon has shared a new remix of her single ‘Guts’, featuring piri of piri & tommy. The track, which was mastered at Abbey Road Studios and produced by Dixon herself, has received a high-energy rework.

The original version of ‘Guts’, which follows Dixon’s 2024 single ‘Renaissance’, explores themes of anxiety and represents Dixon’s grittiest sound to date.

piri says: “I loved guts from the moment I first heard the beat! The track is such a journey and the lyrics are so deeply relatable and real. I really resonate with not being a party person when I was younger and not wanting to go out, but with my verse I wanted to add the angle that actually these days both me and Ellie love a party, you can find the guts with the right people around you!! Making a song with Ellie was so long overdue and I’m so thrilled it’s such a sick track with such a good meaning behind it too.”

Dixon adds: “I’m constantly inspired by piri – she is such a talented writer and producer so this remix was a super fun process. We sat together and basically reimagined the track through her world, playing with synths and vocal stacks. When I first put ‘Guts’ out we really bonded over the meaning as we’d had similar experiences as teenagers. It’s a really personal song so having someone that honestly contributed to the story was so important. I learned so much from the creative way she produces and I love the playful almost Britney sound she’s brought out of the track.”
