George Moir and Blossom Caldarone have shared their new collab, ‘Lonely’.
Out now via Infectious Music, it’s a sad bop about, well, being lonely, which was created remotely over Zoom during lockdown.
George explains: “Creating ‘Lonely’ has been one of the most wonderfully bizarre experiences of my professional life. I bumped into Blossom online through a mutual friend, and we thought it’d be cool to try and work together. This was the first time I’d ever collaborated with another artist, and we met on a video call.”
Blossom adds: “George and I wrote ‘Lonely’ after a discussion about keeping in touch with people during lockdown; the difficulties that it posed and how we were adapting to it. It was fresh in our minds when we wrote the track over Zoom, a process that heavily inspired the artwork and video. Writing a song with someone is so enjoyable and the visuals George created are the perfect and witty reenactment of our co-writing, in its new founded COVID friendly configuration!”
