Get Better: A Film About Frank Turner

Tuesday evening [13th December] marked the premiere of Frank Turner's latest immortalisation: a feature-length production directed by good friend and videographer Ben Morse entitled Get Better: A Film About Frank Turner. A plethora of cinemas around the UK broadcast the screening, which also features a Q&A and an intimate acoustic set from the man himself, including stories and the inspiration behind select songs.

Throughout ‘Get Better...', the main takeaways are: 1. Frank is all about his fans. From replying to their queries and emails daily to promising to play a show in Naples, which he does at a fan's house: Frank is fuelled by his fans dedication and love; 2. His Mum has some of the best moments throughout, as does his backing band The Sleeping Souls; 3. 2014/15 Frank loved to party - maybe a bit too hard.

Although the central theme of the project focusses on the issues he had with his record label around the recording and release of album ‘Positive Songs For Negative People’, it’s the attitude he has towards his fans that shines through. From many scenes of Frank meeting and greeting hoards of supporters outside of venues to the fact that at this very event fans have travelled from abroad to be a part of the occasion.
