Gorillaz have released a new track, 'Damascus', featuring Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey. This marks the fourth single from their forthcoming studio album 'The Mountain', set for release on 27th February 2026 via their new label, KONG.
'Damascus' was penned by Damon Albarn, Omar Souleyman, and Yasiin Bey, and recorded across several locations including Damascus, London, Devon, Mumbai, and New York. The track debuted live at London's Copper Box Arena in September and was later performed at Madrid's Gaia Festival and Together For Palestine at Wembley Arena, featuring The London Arab Orchestra.
Gorillaz's ninth studio album, 'The Mountain', is described as an expansive collection of 15 tracks that showcase their collaborative nature, with contributions from a wide array of artists. The album includes performances in multiple languages: Arabic, English, Hindi, Spanish, and Yoruba.
Gorillaz will embark on 'The Mountain Tour' beginning with two warm-up shows in Bradford on 13th and 14th March 2026, before a series of headline dates across the UK and Ireland. The tour will feature a special performance at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 20th June 2026, with support from Sparks and Trueno. The tour will also include European festival appearances next summer.
