James Marriott has released his melancholic new single 'It's Only Love', from second album 'Don't Tell The Dog'
James Marriott explores softer, indie-folk territory on his latest '80s-influenced single ahead of his second album release in June.

James Marriott has shared new single 'It's Only Love', taken from his upcoming second album 'Don't Tell The Dog'.
The track arrives alongside a folk horror-inspired video directed by Orr Piamenta, which follows an axe-wielding Marriott bringing scarecrow couples to life.
"'It's Only Love' is the third single from my upcoming sophomore album, 'Don't Tell The Dog'," Marriott explains. "I took a softer approach than the previous two singles, with verdant imagery in the lyricism and country-inspired instrumentation. I chose this as a single to demonstrate the softer, indie tones evident in parts of my second full-length album. It's one of my softer vocal performances and I believe wholeheartedly that it shows another side to my artistry, which I hope to develop more with the release of 'Don't Tell The Dog' on 13th June."
'Don't Tell The Dog' follows Marriott's debut album 'Are We There Yet?', which reached Number 17 in the UK charts. The new record will be available on blue vinyl, CD and cassette formats.
