Kneecap have teamed up with Killer Mike for a new version of ‘Smugglers & Scholars’
The Run The Jewels rapper joins the Belfast trio on reworked 'FENIAN' cut.
Kneecap have shared a new version of ‘Smugglers & Scholars’ featuring Killer Mike.
Originally appearing on the Belfast trio’s recent album ‘FENIAN’, the updated track adds a new verse from the Run The Jewels rapper, whose voice cuts through the song’s low-slung production alongside Mo Chara and Móglaí Bap’s reflections on revolution, resistance and political unrest.
The original version appears on ‘FENIAN’, released earlier this month via Heavenly Recordings. Produced by Dan Carey, the album reached Number 1 in Ireland and Number 2 in the UK.
The record also includes previous singles ‘FENIAN’, ‘Liars Tale’ and ‘Irish Goodbye’, featuring Kae Tempest.
The new collaboration arrives ahead of a packed summer of live dates for the trio, including a headline show at London’s Crystal Palace Park and appearances at Primavera, Roskilde, Rock Werchter, Reading & Leeds and All Together Now.
