Laufey has returned with new single ‘Silver Lining’ and a surreal masquerade video

The Grammy-winning artist releases a romantic new single alongside a surreal masquerade ball video shot on 35mm film.

Artists: Laufey

Laufey has returned with new single ‘Silver Lining’, marking her first original release since her GRAMMY-winning album ‘Bewitched’ and its expanded version ‘Bewitched: The Goddess Edition’.

The Icelandic-Chinese artist, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist’s new track arrives alongside a video directed by Jason Lester, who previously worked with Laufey on the visuals for ‘From The Start’ and ‘Santa Baby’. Shot on 35mm film, it follows Laufey at a masquerade ball that descends into a surreal hellscape.

“‘Silver Lining’ is a love song about being able to set your true personality free when you fall in love,” Laufey explains. “Your inner child comes out and you are emboldened by lust. Even if it takes you to hell, at least you’re with your partner.”
