London Grammar make beauty from negativity with their new track, ‘Fakest Bitch’

The track showcases a new direction for the band.

London Grammar have released a new track titled ‘Fakest Bitch’ via Ministry of Sound.

The song represents a departure from the band’s usual style, with frontwoman Hannah Reid taking a more playful approach to transform negativity into something positive.

She explains: “Fakest Bitch is pretty self-explanatory to be honest. Everybody has had someone, at some point in their life, that’s made them feel that way but what I really like about it is that it’s kind of a bit shocking. For me anyway, just how direct the negativity is but it is again about reflecting on those parts of yourself that are a bit ugly too and looking at yourself in the mirror and learning and growing from that. I wanted to again talk about something quite negative but the lyrics in the verse are quite poetic and beautiful.”

London Grammar’s upcoming album, ‘The Greatest Love’, is set for release on 13th September.

The band have also got their largest tour to date coming up, with tickets for their UK arena shows nearly sold out. The tour, which begins this autumn, will culminate with a performance at The O2 Arena in London on 14th November. It follows their recent headline performances at Glastonbury Festival’s The Park Stage and Latitude Festival.
