Neil Young has cancelled his appearance at Glastonbury 2025, describing the festival as a "corporate turn-off"
Neil Young has withdrawn from Glastonbury 2025, objecting to the BBC partnership.

Neil Young has pulled out of performing at Glastonbury 2025, citing concerns over what he describes as increased corporate involvement in the festival.
Writing on his Neil Young Archives website, Young explains: "The Chrome Hearts and I were looking forward to playing Glastonbury, one of my all time favorite outdoor gigs. We were told that BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in."
"It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being," he continued. "Thanks for coming to see us the last time!"
"We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn-off, and not for me like it used to be. Hope to see you at one of the other venues on the tour."
Young previously headlined the Pyramid Stage in 2009, having initially been scheduled to perform in 1997 before withdrawing due to injury. Rod Stewart has been confirmed for the festival's Sunday afternoon Legends Slot, while Nile Rodgers and Chic are also set to perform at the Somerset event.
The festival will return to Worthy Farm in Pilton from 25th June, with tickets having sold out in 32 minutes when they went on sale in November.
