Porij have dropped a brand new track, ‘Ego’

There's a new EP on the way this September.

Porij have announced a debut EP, and revealed a brand new track from it.

Titled ‘Baby Face’, it follows up on last year’s ‘Breakfast’ mixtape, and will arrive via their own Oat Gang Records label on 17th September.

It comes alongside a new song, ‘Ego’, which Eggy from the band explains is about “the moment after a complicated relationship has ended and one person has moved on more than the other. I didn’t want it to feel one sided and it was interesting trying to give a voice to both parties. You spend most of the song hearing about how one of them won’t let go and how messy their relationship had been, but in the final chorus the narrative expands and you get to hear the other side of things. I wanted to explore the idea that you never really know the whole story of things most of the time by exposing the layers of a relationship that’s fallen apart.”

So there we go.
