Snacks, the cat that ruled indie-rock at the start of the 2010s, has passed away.

The pet of Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, Snacks appeared on the cover of the band's 2010 debut album 'Crazy For You' and more recently for the single, 'Leading'. He also featured on the artwork for Wavves' 'King of the Beach'.

Wavves' Nathan Williams also shared his thoughts, writing: "We lost a legend today. I hate this app but there are literally thousands of you fans with this cat tattooed on their bodies and they will carry his spirit with them. Legends never die. I love you Snacks. See you on the other side brother."
