After a bit of online teasing,
The Maccabees have announced their first show in eight years.
Headlining
All Points East on 24th August 2025, the performance at London's Victoria Park will mark a decade since the release of their final album
'Marks To Prove It', which hit Number 1 in the UK.
The band are also collaborating with festival organisers to curate the rest of the day's lineup, with tickets available through artist presale from 10am on 30th October, and general sale from 10am on 31st October.
The first steps toward the reunion began at guitarist
Hugo White's wedding in February 2020, where the possibility of performing their song '
Pelican' was discussed. Singer
Orlando Weeks explains: "I didn't go because it was The Maccabees playing together again, but because it was a beautiful gesture to be invited and to contribute to the spirit of the day. What I wanted, band aside, was to find a way to be in each other's lives in some way."
