Set for release on 29th November via [PIAS] Recordings, the record chronicles a breakup, moving cities, coming out as queer, and meeting her now-wife. The news is also accompanied by Sydney-based artist Jess Holt's new single, 'Plus One'.
Describing the new single, total tommy says: "It's about sex, that's all." Of making the album, she adds: "That was a really big time. I grew so much, I learnt so much about myself; I mostly feel like an adult now."
She adds: "But these songs were never meant for navelgazing; they were meant to be played to a crowd, loud and with abandon. bruises is a document of blood, sweat, dilated pupils, warm flesh — aliveness."
