Lyrics
[Verse 1: Matt Champion] Better go get that grip off, amidst all of the tears Be remissed if I didn't romanticize all of our cheers Some of the worst times in life, you reminisce about later And those same mothafuckers that was with you ain't with you But somehow you feel the present, deep down within you Go figure, this world's slim with blessings Why you cutting through them sections of your very own paradise? Mind you, I got a different eye Anxious that the idea of love can fade in one night Poof, no unconditional How'd you find something like that? Well, it don't come and go Take a couple steps back, like TNT it might blow So you get the message, keep on trekking on your own road I don't trip about the could've, should've, would've If I would have been there, would it change my whole life? Nah In the face of heat, I always stare it down and Out the smoke I appear on the other side [Chorus: Kevin Abstract] I could stay around you for the rest of my days Lay low together baby, but I know if I stayed I'd hold you back baby, if you don't go your way I'd hold you back, I'd hold you back I could stay around you for the rest of my days Lay low together baby, but I know if I stayed I'd hold you back baby, if you don't go your way I'd hold you back, I'd hold you back [Verse 2: JOBA] We all gotta grow up someday Don't matter which way, choose one Caught up in the game, lose it At least we feel that way It's the summertime I'm gonna shine I've had enough time I gotta pick it when it's right Can you dig it? Do you dig it? (Can you dig it?) Can you dig it? Do you dig it? (Can you dig it?) Can you dig it? Do you dig it? (Dig it) In the summertime [Verse 3: Dom McLennon] I need my space Dirt on my face Don't let the trace I wanna race Ball out with grace Don't want the praise I don't believe in myself, there's a hope in the best of my days Move through the mass I can't behave I need somebody to make a decision, been stuck in my place I feel a way I isolate I apologize for always saying that I love you too late So much restraint Won't separate Need you more than ever even though I couldn't communicate Was I ever if y'all know how it is when I fluctuate I been feeling like I make the feelings before I step away [Chorus: Kevin Abstract] I could stay around you for the rest of my days Lay low together baby, but I know if I stayed I'd hold you back baby, if you don't go your way I'd hold you back, I'd hold you back I could stay around you for the rest of my days Lay low together baby, but I know if I stayed I'd hold you back baby, if you don't go your way I'd hold you back, I'd hold you back
