'좋아요' captures the particular ache of social media surveillance in a relationship's aftermath. The track follows a man compulsively liking his ex's posts, caught between the desire to seem unbothered and the inability to look away. BTS frame this small, repetitive gesture as a kind of torture, the "like" button becoming a stand-in for all the contact he's no longer permitted. The production moves between restless verses and a chorus that circles back to its own refrain, mirroring the obsessive checking and rechecking that drives the narrative. RM and SUGA trade verses that shift from sardonic observation to something rawer, the gap between what he wants to feel and what he actually feels widening with each admission. The song doesn't resolve that tension; it simply documents it, the refrain "don't wanna be fool, wanna be cool, wanna be loved" naming an impossible triangle.
"좋아요 (Like)" is a track by BTS, from the album 2 Cool 4 Skool, released 12th June 2013. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about BTS.
