Untitled

‘Untitled’ by Cavetown is a 2013 track from the album ‘Everything is Made of Clouds’. The lyrics frame a brittle relationship to someone else’s emotional coldness, with images of physical inadequacy and the self “falling apart”. There is also a domestic, slightly unsettling detail, digging into the carpet with your feet, alongside a repetition compulsion, playing someone’s favourite songs on repeat every night, as if routine might replace steadiness. The tone is anxious and intimate, less a declaration than an admission of weakness and persistence.
