About This Track
Clipse and Pharrell Williams team up with Pusha T and Malice on a track built around the language of financial success. The title itself, an acronym for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, sets the tone: this is a song about money as measure and monument. Pharrell opens with bright, almost childlike imagery, vitamin C, bees, the sun, before pivoting to the material world of luxury cars and European landmarks. The production sits somewhere between braggadocio and precision, each line landing with deliberate weight. Pusha T dominates the verses and chorus, his delivery sharp and unadorned. He moves between the present tense of wealth and the past tense of survival, referencing federal intervention and the weight of memory alongside passport counts and passport stamps. The chorus anchors itself in a simple, repeating claim: "Now I'm ten times the E.B.I.T.D.A", a boast that collapses financial metrics into personal mythology. Malice appears in the final verse, adding texture to the song's meditation on scale, space, and the infrastructure of accumulation. Throughout, the track treats excess not as excess but as evidence, the scale itself a kind of truth.
"E.B.I.T.D.A." is a track by Clipse, released 11th July 2025. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about Clipse.
