About This Track
The first single from Clipse's fourth studio album, 'P.O.V.' reunites Pusha T and Malice with Pharrell Williams behind the boards and brings Tyler, The Creator into the fold for a verse. Released in July 2025, the track finds Pusha rapping from the vantage point of a dealer moving weight by rail and air, the chorus built around logistics and contempt for imitators. Tyler re-recorded his contribution before the final cut, refining a verse that matches Pusha's luxury-car inventory bar for bar. The production keeps space around the rappers, Pharrell's arrangement minimal enough to let the detail work. Pusha catalogues Rolls-Royces in sand colourings, Willy Falcon references, and a disdain for what he calls sixty-day stars and twenty-year thousandaires. Tyler counters with LaFerrari doors that open like therapy sessions and a refusal to buy Birkins for transactional reasons, the Flower Boy self-description sitting alongside threats of consequence. Both verses operate in the same tonal register, boastful but precise, the imagery grounded in make and model rather than metaphor. The title's point-of-view framing holds throughout, each line a snapshot from a specific vantage rather than a generalised flex. The song functions as a statement of position, Clipse's return after years away marked by the same unblinking focus that defined their earlier work.
