'Fireal' by Deftones is a 1995 track from 'Adrenaline'. The lyrics sketch a bruised, confrontational street-level scene, with a repeated insistence that fists cannot save anyone. It opens on “beggers where blown” before shifting to an exchange that mixes threat with resignation, as the narrator is knocked out and left to go on. The chorus keeps returning to the same blunt idea, turning anger into a kind of dead-end logic, where the offer of relief is always undercut by violence’s inevitability.
