About This Track
Released as a digital download in October 2012, 'Latch' was the lead single from Disclosure's debut album 'Settle' and featured vocals from Sam Smith. The track debuted on the UK Singles Chart and introduced the Lawrence brothers' production style to a wider audience, its success building through 2013 as the album arrived.
The lyric adopts the voice of someone newly captivated, the metaphor of latching and locking running through lines like 'I'm latching on babe, now I know what I have found'. Smith's vocal performance carries the tender urgency of the words, whilst the production beneath balances restraint with a persistent pulse. The song's appeal rests in that synergy between the brothers' electronic framework and the human warmth of the vocal line, each element lifting the other.
"Latch" is a single by Disclosure, released 8th October 2012. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 14 articles about Disclosure.

Adrianne Lenker, Blood Orange and Disclosure are also confirmed for the Arizona event

Want to know which acts you can watch at what time at Coachella weekend 2? Find them all, plus the UK times, here.

The duo's latest full-length arrived over the summer.

The duo's new full-length lands this Friday (14th July).
'Energy' has been a long wait, and at no point does it disappoint.

Opening with ‘White Noise’ the split second AlunaGeorge finish performing it in the dance tent, Disclosure bring the festival experience full circle. “This is the first festival me and Howard ever went to,” Guy Lawrence declares. “That’s why I think this crowd is going to be the best crowd we ever played to, am I right?” Getting their audience involved is something Disclosure excel at. Transitioning so effortlessly from one song to the next that you'd almost believe they were created this way (let's face it - Disclosure were always meant for mass dance-alongs), the duo take the main stage for their very own. They might be champions of the moment, but the maintain their victory with no shortage of humility. “What a pleasure it is to share the stage with one of our favourite bands in the UK: Foals!” Harkening back to their own days as festival punters in the fields (“we have stood where you are stood”), the set offers nothing short of elation. The duo’s electric energy ignites the darkening field with an all natural ease. Drawing from songs from all throughout their history, it seems like this moment was always meant to be. From the darkened refrains of ‘Driving On’, through the soulful introduction of Brendan Reilly for ‘Moving Mountains’, to the elated rendition of ‘Latch’, Disclosure usher in the night with an unparalleled excitement – and the weekend is only just beginning.
