Jamie xx, born James Thomas Smith on 28 October 1988, is an English musician, DJ, record producer, and remixer. He is a member of the indie pop band the xx and has contributed to the group's commercial and critical success. As a solo artist, he received a Mercury Prize nomination in 2015 and a Grammy Award nomination in 2016 for Best Dance/Electronic Album for In Colour.
