About This Track

Future moves through 'Bye Bye' with the casual cruelty of someone for whom transactional romance is just another flex. The track sits on a bed of trap production, its rhythm built around repetition and swagger. He cycles through the same refrain across the song: designer labels, expensive gifts, and the swift dismissal that follows. The chorus settles into a groove, each repetition of "tell her bye-bye" landing with the weight of inevitability rather than regret. The verses stack material detail on top of material detail. Balmain jeans, thousand-dollar trousers, eighty-dollar watches given as casual bribes. Future narrates his own mythology here, the story of a man who made it off the block and now moves through the world with the confidence of someone who has priced everything and everyone. The production, credited to Zaytoven and DJ Esco, keeps the track moving at a steady boil, never quite erupting but never settling either. It is the sound of excess treated as routine.

"Bye Bye" is a track by Future, from the album Purple Reign, released 17th January 2016. Full lyrics are available below.
