About This Track

Originally dubbed 'Trophy Wife', this Metro Boomin-produced track finds Future and Kanye West toasting to their partners over a celebratory beat. The song appeared on Future's second album 'Honest', released in April 2014, and went gold.

Future's chorus frames romantic devotion as competitive triumph, the repeated hook casting his partner as a prize won rather than a person met. The metaphor is blunt and unapologetic, the production sleek enough to let the conceit sit front and centre. Kanye's verse leans into the same territory, name-checking luxury brands and professional athletes whilst sketching a life of conspicuous affection.

The track became one of the album's commercial successes alongside 'Move That Dope', both singles helping 'Honest' peak at number two on release. Metro Boomin's co-production work here marked an early collaboration in what would become a long-running partnership with Future.
