Future and Metro Boomin construct 'Overload' as a maximalist flex, the track built on repetition and accumulation. The hook cycles through the title phrase whilst Future stacks images of excess: Maybach coupes, Cartier bracelets, private jets, the roster of women and money that orbit his orbit. The production sits somewhere between trap and something more expansive, giving space for Future's voice to land its boasts without strain. The verses work through a familiar register of Atlanta rap wealth-narrative, but the song's real engine is its refusal to develop. 'Overload' stays put, circling the same idea of saturation and dominance across three minutes and forty-four seconds. Metro Boomin's production holds firm beneath it all, a platform rather than a landscape. The effect is hypnotic rather than dynamic, which is precisely the point: this is a song about the pleasure of repetition, of saying the same thing until it becomes true.
