Ghost inverts the creation myth as a descent into ruin. The song mirrors the structure of Genesis, counting through six days of divine labour, but where scripture promises order and dominion, 'Bible' charts the slow corruption of the world. A voice thunders commands into being: fruits, seeds, mankind in paired form, fire, cities, metal structures that stretch beyond sight. Each day the human project expands, and each day the original voice recedes further into silence. By the sixth day, the earth has become an open wound. Rain falls without ceasing, walls crumble, spring collapses into autumn, and the refrain hardens into a dirge: "who will pray for Babylon?" The song's final movement abandons the countdown entirely. The creator, having watched his creation turn to rot, speaks the language of regret and erasure, withdrawing the gift of existence itself. Ghost frames apocalypse not as punishment but as correction, the only logical end to a project that was broken from the start.
