'Synchronize*' by Grimes is a 2024 track from 'Book 2'. The lyrics, written in a high-velocity register, press the desire to have “everything”, with acceleration and city motion driving the images. A turn towards darkness and then light leads to a repeated promise of hearts aligning, then a charged line about dancing with monsters that frames the moment as exhilarating. The song’s central idea is collective timing, a rhythmic match held up against speed, night, and whatever feels threatening, until it lands as something like freedom.
"Synchronize*" is a track by Grimes, from the album Book 2, released 14th April 2024. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 6 articles about Grimes.
