About This Track

The second track from Gunna's third studio album 'DS4EVER', released on January 7th, 2022, 'pushin P' pairs him with Future and Young Thug across a hypnotic, alliterative production from Wheezy. The phrase itself, repeated 34 times across the song, with the letter P appearing 47 times in total, became a viral talking point when Gunna posted a series of definitions to Twitter two days before the album dropped, later expanding on the meaning via TikTok on release day.

The trio trade verses built around the titular letter, Gunna opening with luxury signifiers before Future and Young Thug add their own variations on the theme. The execution is more mantra than narrative, the repetition leaning into the phrase's slipperiness rather than pinning it down.
