About This Track

A promotional single from Khalid's debut album 'American Teen', released in February 2017. Over sparse keys and simple percussion, the El Paso singer recounts an all-consuming relationship that left him exposed and undefended, his gravelly timbre carrying the weight of the confession. Khalid writes from the position of someone who has surrendered completely, putting a partner above family and friends, only to find the devotion unreturned.
