About This Track

'Oops' finds Little Mix caught between the practical and the irresistible. The track opens with the neat paradox of its title: a breakup that was supposed to be final, undone by accident, by proximity, by the simple fact of waking up together. What follows is a song about the gap between what you've decided and what you actually feel, played out across verses that chart the slow collapse of resolve. Charlie Puth's presence anchors the production with a clean, almost conversational quality that lets the group's vocals breathe. The song moves through its confession without melodrama. There's no grand reconciliation here, just the dawning recognition that the decision to be friends was made in the absence of the person themselves. The bridge pulls back to consider the cost of that goodbye, asking whether a second attempt might be worth the risk. By the final chorus, the accident has become something closer to admission.

"Oops" is a track by Little Mix, from the album Glory Days, released 18th November 2016. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 8 articles about Little Mix.

Lyrics

Oops

[Intro: Perrie]

Oops, my baby, you woke up in my bed

Oops, we broke up, we're better off as friends

Now I accidentally need you, I don't know what to do

Oops, baby, I love you

[Verse 1: Jesy]

It started with "What's up with you?"

I messed around and got caught up with you

Yeah, yeah, I don't know what to do

I've got these feelings like there's nothing new

Now I can't get enough of you, oh

[Pre-Chorus: Leigh-Anne, Jesy, Little Mix]

And when I think about the way you touch my body

I don't know how long I can wait (Ah)

And when I think about the way you touch my body

This could be my greatest mistake

You've got me singing

[Chorus: Little Mix, Jesy]

Oops, my baby, you woke up in my bed

Oops, we broke up, we're better off as friends

Now I accidentally need you, I don't know what to do (Do)

Oops, baby, I love you

[Verse 2: Charlie, Jade, Charlie & Jade]

We had a good run

We messed around and had some good fun

Guess it turns out I lost a good one (Ooh)

'Cause now I'm wishing every morning would come

With you next to me, baby (Oh, yeah)

[Pre-Chorus: Charlie, Charlie & Leigh-Anne, All]

And when I think about the way you touch my body

This could be my greatest mistake

You've got me singing

[Chorus: All, Leigh-Anne, Jade]

Oops (Oops), my baby, you woke up in my bed (You woke up in my bed)

Oops, we broke up, we're better off as friends

Now I accidentally need you, I don't know what to do

Oops, baby, I love you

[Post-Chorus: Leigh-Anne, All, Perrie]

Ooh, I, I, I love you, ooh, ooh, ooh

Now I accidentally know that you're in love with me, too

Oops, baby, I love you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

[Bridge: Jade, All, Charlie, Charlie & Jade]

If it was up to me, I would take a time machine

To the day I said goodbye (I lied)

Oh, I lied, so can we try again? (Ohh)

Beneficial, more than friends

No, don't you tell me goodbye

You've got me singing

[Chorus: All, Jade, Perrie]

Oops, my baby, you woke up in my bed (Yeah)

Oops, we broke up, we're better off as friends

Now I accidentally need you, I don't know what to do

Oops, baby, I love you (I love, I love, I love you)

[Outro: All, Charlie, Jade]

Oops, I love you, ooh, ooh, ooh, I love you (Oh, I still love you)

Singin', oops, I love you, ooh, ooh, ooh (Yeah, yeah)

Now I accidentally know that you're in love with me, too (Ooh)

Oops, baby, I love you
