About This Track

'Complexity' finds Madison Beer examining the impossible arithmetic of love and self-worth. The track circles a single, devastating question: how can she expect to be loved by someone who cannot love themselves? It is a song about the weight of trying to fill someone else's emptiness, and the futility baked into that effort. Beer's voice carries the repetition without exhaustion, the chorus building through insistence rather than crescendo.
