About This Track

'haze' by mxmtoon is a 2022 alternative track on the album 'rising'. In the lyrics, the singer longs to live where the sky meets the sea, wrapped in haze and mist, chasing unvisited places and the beauty they might find. There is a rooted, observational wishfulness too, imagining growth like flowers on the edge of a window, with time moving slowly, and a sense of yearning that arrives in fragments, as if the thought keeps catching. One line captures the mood plainly: 'with the haze and the mist'.

"haze" is a track by mxmtoon, from the album rising, released 19th May 2022. The track is 3:12 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about mxmtoon.

Lyrics

haze

I wanna live out where the sky meets the sea
With the haze and the mist and the colors on me
Find every place that no one's ever seen
Share the beauty I've found and the world in-between (ah)

Wish I could grow
Like flowers on the edge of my window
Wished time moved slow
'Cause saying goodbye can be too painful

'Cause I'm lookin' for a feelin'
And I'll look until I feel it
With my hands in the air and clouds
With my feet livin' on the ground
'Cause I'm lookin' for a feelin'
And I'll look until I feel it
With my hands in the air and clouds
With my feet livin' on the ground

I'm gettin' lost in all the choices that I've made
Am I decidin' for myself, or is it all just up to fate?

All I wanna know is the road to take
All I'd ever hope just to find a way
Maybe all the bad will turn out okay

'Cause I'm lookin' for a feelin'
And I'll look until I feel it
With my hands in the air and clouds
With my feet livin' on the ground
'Cause I'm lookin' for a feelin'
And I'll look until I feel it
With my hands in the air and clouds
With my feet livin' on the ground

All I wanna know is the road to take
All I'd ever hope just to find a way
Maybe all the bad will turn out okay
Lookin' for an answer, lookin' for a sign
Will I be the same if I cross that line?
Maybe all the bad will turn out just fine

Wish I could grow
On my own
Wish time moved slow
'Cause goodbyes are too painful

'Cause I'm lookin' for a feelin'
And I'll look until I feel it
With my hands in the air and clouds
With my feet livin' on the ground
'Cause I'm lookin' for a feelin'
And I'll look until I feel it
With my hands in the air and clouds
With my feet livin' on the ground

All I wanna know is the road to take
All I'd ever hope just to find a way
Maybe all the bad will turn out okay
Lookin' for an answer, lookin' for a sign
Will I be the same if I cross that line?
Maybe all the bad will turn out just fine
