About This Track

‘Pockets’ by Panic Shack is an alternative track from the album ‘Panic Shack’ (2025). The lyrics run through a fast, image-led inventory of day-to-night essentials, with the speaker checking the mirror and dressing the plan around small personal items and quick fixes. An early refrain-like list returns the same set of objects, framing preparation as a kind of performance, and desire as something both hurried and deliberately casual, captured in the blunt confidence of “I’m looking fit as fuck”. The overall tone is lightly self-mocking, focused on what fits, what’s needed, and what gets left out when the night starts.

"Pockets" is a track by Panic Shack, from the album Panic Shack, released 17th July 2025. The track is 3:08 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 17 articles about Panic Shack.

Lyrics

Pockets

[Intro]

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

[Verse 1]

Okay, picture this

So I'm looking in the mirror

And I'm looking fit as fuck

I'm off out to meet the girls

Just for one (Yeah right)

I don't feel like accessorising

Tonight I just need the essentials (Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss)

So I'm getting my shit together

Got some brand new jeans on

They're perfectly fitted

They're stone wash

And straight leg

And my ass is looking fat

But my hand glides right on by

Flush where a pocket should be

No nooks, no dips

Not a cranny or a crevice to be seen

I'm streamlined, I'm fast as fuck

I'm smooth like a dolphin, I'm aerodynamic

I'd give Micheal Phelps a run for his money in these jeans

He couldn't catch me

So I guess it has its perks

Being pocketless

Making jeans without them remains a mystery

And tonight I kinda wanted to be hands free

[Pre-Chorus]

Got my vape in my bra

Drink in my hand

Got no pockets remember?

'Cause I'm not a man

I'm not talking about jeggings

I'm talking proper denim

[Chorus]

I've got change, I want change

I've got change, I want change

I've got change, I want change (Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss)

I've got change, I want change (Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss)

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

[Verse 2]

Like how much more fabric did they need

The offcuts could'a done it

The trouble it took for them to fake it with some stitching

Could've easily sewn me in a little something

But no, no pockets for me I guess

I'll just, I dunno always carry a bag

[Pre-Chorus]

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

[Chorus]

I've got change, I want change

I've got change, I want change

I've got change, I want change (Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss)

I've got change, I want change (Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss)

[Outro]

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss

Vape, phone, keys, lipgloss
