'Puppe' is the sixth track on Rammstein's untitled 2019 album, a song that delivers what one observer calls a gut-wrenching brutal rawness only Till Lindemann and the band can manage. The lyrics sketch a locked room, a child left alone with a doll whilst an older sister works next door, the narrator's escalating distress channelled into violent acts against the toy. Lindemann's vocal performance carries the urgency and darkness of the scenario without requiring translation, though the full weight of the narrative – mental anguish, fear, and a final act of witness – lands hardest when the German is understood. The song builds from sedated waiting to explosive release, the repeated refrain marking a shift from 'es geht mir nicht gut' to a hollow claim of relief. Rammstein frame the horror obliquely, the doll a surrogate for rage the narrator cannot otherwise express, the final verse collapsing the distance between innocence and trauma.
"Puppe" is a track by Rammstein, from the album Rammstein, released 29th April 1994. The track is 4:34 long. It's filed under Metal. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about Rammstein.
