About This Track
‘Trial & Error’ by Slothrust is a rock track from the album ‘Everyone Else’ released in 2016. The lyrics stage an intimate, combative address, with the speaker trading accusations about roles and identity. There is a sense of domestic volatility, capped by the line “trial and error”, as the relationship turns into a struggle over control. The imagery stays claustrophobic and confrontational, from talk of proximity and growth to physical aggression, while the refrain-like insistence on not trying the speaker out keeps the tone razor sharp.
"Trial & Error" is a track by Slothrust, from the album Everyone Else, released 27th October 2016. The track is 1:27 long. It's filed under Rock. Full lyrics are available below.
About the Artist
Lyrics
I told you once you were my son Because you grew inside me But who says size has an effect On what I'll never tell to you You told me once I was a child As my fists pound your mattress I'm not accustomed to this trial and error Trial, don't try me out The way you narrow your eyes at me Suggests that there's some tension I don't regret my upper hand Its stubborn ways hand me all of it And don't come down Until your chemicals give you permission That's how it works That's how it works But sometimes things don't work at all
