And some people described it as sort of a modern sound meets tradition Taylor Swift: That’s kind of what I tried to do. You know, I figured out at a young age that when you control what music you put out by writing it, then you get to control your own sound. And, you know, no one else can do that for you. No one else can take that sound away from you. And, um, replace it with something else. So, you know, this is thе music that I've always loved to sing and I think it's just differеnt enough to where people have been able to relate to it.
