About This Track

‘BATSHIT!’ by Willow is a 2022 Rock track from the album '<COPINGMECHANISM>'. In the lyrics, a strained romance is played against apocalyptic collapse, with the singer clinging to reassurance while muttering that it all stinks and feels like a lie. The repeated insistence, “It’s fine, it’s fine,” lands like self-hypnosis, even as kissing and driving keep momentum going. The effect is a nervous, affectionate denial, where charm and catastrophe share the same frame, and the relationship becomes a coping mechanism for fear.

"BATSHIT!" is a track by Willow, from the album <COPINGMECHANISM>, released 6th October 2022. The track is 2:19 long. It's filed under Rock. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about Willow.

Lyrics

BATSHIT!

Holding hands while the world burns down around us
Can't pretend, but I'm trying, so I tell myself, I tell myself
"It's fine, it's fine, everything's fine"
You're cute and you're funny, your hair looks nice
Your smile, the vibe, we kiss while you drive
(This stinks) I'm smelling a lie

I thought I could, but not today, not today, not today
It's not a game, but you wanna play, you wanna play

Fuck, fine
I know you think what you're saying's really cute
But you're just wasting my time
And no, you're not on my mind

If I were you, I would watch out
Whatever you do, it better be true, I'm coming for you
I'm washing out your mouth
Whatever you do, it better be true, it better be true

Yeah, I thought I could, but it turns out
Yeah, it turns out my mental wasn't strong enough
To face the facts and not clap back and, all the while, you watch her ass
Walk through my heart and down the backstreet
Yeah, you think I'm cool? Try batshit
Murdering my ego with a hatchet, yeah (you'll never understand)

Fuck, fine
I know you think what you're saying's really cute
But you're just wasting my time
And no, you're not on my mind

If I were you, I would watch out
Whatever you do, it better be true, I'm coming for you
I'm washing out your mouth
Whatever you do, it better be true, it better be true
