About This Track

'Wolf' by Yeah Yeah Yeahs is a 2022 alternative track from the album 'Cool It Down'. The lyrics lean into a predatory, hunger-led metaphor of being “hungry like a wolf”, paired with loneliness and an urgent plea not to be left. There is a sense of captivity too, with the speaker describing being hunted, while repeating the wolf image to underline obsession and need. The language moves between yearning and surrender, ending on that cyclical insistence on feeding, as if the appetite cannot be switched off.

"Wolf" is a track by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, from the album Cool It Down, released 29th September 2022. The track is 4:13 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 13 articles about Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Lyrics

Wolf

I'm hungry like a wolf
I bleed like a wolf
I'm lost and I'm lonely
I hunger for you only
Don't leave me now
Don't break the spell
In heaven, lost my taste for hell
Taste for hell
Taste for hell, oh, oh
I'm hunted like a wolf
I feed, I feed like a wolf
I'm lost and I'm lonely
I hunger for you only
Don't leave me now
Don't break the spell
In heaven, lost my taste for hell
Taste for hell
Taste for hell, hell, hell
Into the wild with me
Into the wild
Into the wild with me
Into the wild with me
Into the wild
Into the wild
Into the wild
Into the wild
Into the wild
Into the wild
Into the wild
