Little Simz might just be one of the most prolific and important artist of our generation.

Label: Forever Living Originals
Released: 12th December 2022

Little Simz might just be one of the most prolific and important artist of our generation.

Laser focused on following her vision, she has produced two groundbreaking projects that would be the masterpiece of any other artist’s career over the last few years, and yet you get the sense that she’s only just scratched the surface of her boundless talent. ‘No Thank You’ is yet another example of the greatness of an artist who just never misses. It’s all getting a bit ridiculous now in the best possible way.

Ten songs. Direct and assured. There’s not an inch of wasted energy here. ‘Gorilla’ is bold and inspiring with its orchestral stabs and gospel flourishes while ‘Heart On Fire’ brims with fevered tension that encapsulates modern life in a perfect summary while it all ends with genuinely touching piano led ‘Control’. A beautiful moment of hope. Combining the best of Simz’ peerless storytelling and sonic exploration, ‘No Thank You’ is yet another triumph.
